Formerly known as The Hoi Polloi — established in 2014 by the Doyle brothers — the brand was reimagined in 2025 to reflect its versatility and growth. Today, The Hoi encompasses the Coffee House, Espresso Bar, and Function Room, each offering its own unique way to connect, celebrate, and create.

Nestled within the iconic Howard Smith Building on Flinders Street, we’ve transformed a heritage landmark into a vibrant cultural hub — a place that honours the old while embracing the new.
